	About OTTA The Oregon Tow Truck Association, a nonprofit organization was established in December of 1978, after The Northwest Towing Association founded in August 1963 and the Independent Towers of Oregon founded in May of 1972 joined forces. The two groups recognized that by uniting they could solve industry related problems for the betterment of the industry. Since the formation of the Oregon Tow Truck Association a dedicated group of leaders has worked to improve the image of the industry and hard work has seen the association grow to become a recognized force in Salem and respected as an economic contributor to the state. Our weekly faxes and TNT Bulletins keep our members informed of laws and how they will effect their businesses. Our informational meetings through out the year give members an opportunity to learn from towers how they have met with difficulty and prevailed. And finally relationships with the Oregon State Police, County and Local Police Agencies have improved with the assistance of our past presidents and Executive Director, Al Elkins who came on board in 1984.
